My Story

I'm K. Richard, a tattoo artist based in Indianapolis specializing in black and grey realism, large-scale work, and custom tattoo projects.

I've been tattooing for over 11 years, and throughout that time my focus has continued to evolve toward creating pieces that feel intentional, dynamic, and built specifically for the person wearing them. I'm especially drawn to larger projects-sleeves, multi-day pieces, portraiture, and designs that give me the freedom to create something beyond a direct copy of a reference image.

My approach is heavily focused on composition, contrast, flow, and making sure a tattoo works with the body rather than simply sitting on it. Every project is different, and I try to design each piece around the client, the placement, and what will make the strongest finished tattoo.

Over the years, my work has earned multiple awards in black and grey categories, including Large Black & Grey and Best Sleeve. While I'm proud of those accomplishments, my main goal has always stayed the same: continue improving, push the quality of my work, and create tattoos that both my clients and I are genuinely excited about.

I work out of Indianapolis, Indiana, and regularly work with clients traveling from outside the area for larger projects.
